How to remove the bathtub drain in your bathroom?

Tools that you will need:

o    Small screwdriver
o    Fitting wrench
o    Adjustable wrench
o    Locking needle-nose pliers
o    Standard pliers

1. Eliminate the Tub Stopper:

Eliminate the drain plug or screen to access the tub's drain fitting. If the tub has a screen, essentially pry under the screen with a small level head screwdriver to pop it off. Tubs with screens, as a rule, have a container or plunger-type plug assembly that stops the water inside the drain pipe.

2. Eliminate the Drain With a Plug Wrench:

Insert the end of the fitting wrench into the channel opening, so the wrench prongs fit onto the drain's crossbars. Most plug wrenches have more than one head size; utilize the head that makes the snuggest fit.

Turn the fitting wrench counterclockwise with a big flexible wrench or tongue-and-groove pliers to loosen the channel. Unthread the drain right by hand once it is free.

3. Eliminate the Drain With Locking Pliers:

Insert a couple of locking needle-nose forceps in the channel opening as far as jaws will go. Ensure the jaws are on inverse sides of the crossbars; over the focal point of the "X." Cinch the locking pliers, they grasp the crossbars firmly.

Hold the locking pliers with many standard pliers, getting as low as conceivable on the locking pliers so they do not meddle with the locking activity. Turn the pliers counterclockwise. Be patient and go slowly.

4. Clean the Drain Opening:

Utilize a level head screwdriver or a putty blade and a cloth to eliminate the old ring of the plumber's putty from around the drain opening. Try not to allow the pully to fall into the drain since it never breaks and could cause clogging of the drain.
