This guide is designed to help you make an informed decision when buying a new truck scale. Whether you need help getting started, or want to better understanding technology and specification options, this guide will be useful.

Checklists:

1. How a Truck Scale Works – You must read through the guidelines to have a basic idea of the same.

2. Scale and Weight Regulations: You must check it out.

3. Basic Scale Choices: Check out the scale choices available.

4. Scale Performance: You must cross check the scale performance.

5. Weighbridge Specifications.

6. Load Cells.

7. Site Planning.

8. Installation and Certification.

9. Maintenance, Service and Warranties

For the cranes following are the things that you must check:

Years manufactured, engine requirements, horsepower, tonnage, maximum boom length and weight, plus serial numbers and auction and retail pricing.

Look up serial numbers to discover what year the equipment was manufactured. Research what equipment is worth on the auction block if it’s a used one, what price dealers are asking, and what its estimated loan value is. The equipment must be lightest possible crane or loading platform to meet the requirements to achieve higher fuel efficiency.
